IPO
How do I know if my subscription
for IPO is allotted?
There are 3 ways to find out about your IPO allotment
1. Register an online account with CDP so that you have a CDP online access. And, with your CDP
number / NRIC along with your I-Pin (i.e. password), you could access your CDP account here and find out if your account has the new IPO shares and what quantity. Do note that
at times the IPO counter could be shown in your CDP account only hours before the actual listing
of the counter.
2. Call CDP (6535 7511) on the day of listing. Note that due to potential high volume of calls on
the 1st day of IPO, this method may not be very efficient and you could potentially experience some
delays.
3. Check the amount of money that is being refunded into your bank account. Make sure
that you check the source of fund that is refunded into your account so that you know that it is excess fund
returned from the IPO. By knowing the difference that you have put up versus the amount that you received, you
could tell how many lots (in 1,000) of shares that you are being allotted.
Of the 3 options, the recommended approach would be the 1st (i.e. having your own
CDP internet access) which is most efficient.
